I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalms 94:18-19 NLT)
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life...Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:13, 21-27 NLT)
Joshua 1: 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 4 And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you. 5 May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.

Honestly, that can happen so easily and without our noticing if we are not paying attention. We have so much going on, so many responsibilities to take care of, so many forms of entertainment to steal our focus. It is easy put our relationship with God on the back burner and just coast through your Christian walk.
Can I tell you that it can be so much better then that? God has so much more for us that He is longing to give to us, we just have to reach out to Him and stay in His presence long enough to take hold of them. When you feel like you are slipping, sinking, failing, oppressed, distressed, or ready to give up where do you turn?
If you take the time to seek after God with all your heart and put your relationship with Him in first place you will be amazed at the tangible differences you see in your life.
