Have you ever wanted to get involved in helping meet needs, but you din't know where to start or what you could do? I think we have all been there. You feel guilty about the needs that you see or hear about, but you don't know what you can do to be a part of the solution. Together we can help support those in need in our community. This page has a list of local charities, missions, and ministries in the Mat-Su Valley. Browse through and pray for each one, see where God leads you to reach out and get involved. Each month we will feature a ministry on this list and work toward giving support both financially and by schedule a group work day to volunteer our assistance.
Wasilla Homeless-Committee
We are a committee of community activists dedicated to ending homelessness in the Mat-Su valley. We provide food, clothing, assist in arranging housing, and refer clients to the most beneficial community resources based on their needs and circumstances. Our short term goal is to purchase a food truck to deliver meals, beverages, clothing, and bibles to those in the homeless camps throughout the Matanuska-Sustina Borough. We are registered with the state of Alaska, Entity number 10026395, and licensed in the state number 1016471.
We are dedicated to helping those in need, regardless of the circumstances that brought them to this stage in their lives.
We have a fundraising page that informs the community of events we are having to raise funds to assist our cause.
We are providing services that cover the gaps other agencies in the area cannot.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to get real about your hurts, habits and hang-ups. It is a Christ-centered, Bible-based 12 step Recovery Program that focuses on God's healing power through fellowship with others. By working the 12 Steps and the 8 Beatitude principles, groups open up, share experiences, and explore hope. In this way, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our problems.
